The go to Daily Kos read the REAL Hillary 3 AM phone call.
"It's 3am and you're safe and asleep. But your husband is AWOL. There's a phone in the White House and it's ringing. Something is happening in a motel room in Washington DC. Your vote will decide who answers that call. Whether it's someone who already knows the best lawyers in town, knows the best spin-doctors. Someone tested by her husband's previous dalliances and ready to lead the damage control again in a dangerous world full of right-wing attackers.
It's 3am and you're safe and asleep. Do you know where your husband is?"
What They Said: HECTOR says BULL CRAP on 3/12/2008 I'm the asshole who answers the phone at 3am... usually like this, "Yeah, be there in 30, No don't call the WH situation room, we'll handle it ourselves "
Then those SOB's wake up at 8 eat a full breakfast and read the dam report I wrote over and over again from 4-6 while eating yesterdays donut and drinking yesterdays luke warm coffee.
DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -- Jane Hambleton has dubbed herself the "meanest mom on the planet."
After finding alcohol in her son's car, she decided to sell the car and share her 19-year-old's misdeed with everyone -- by placing an ad in the local newspaper.
The ad reads: "OLDS 1999 Intrigue. Totally uncool parents who obviously don't love teenage son, selling his car. Only driven for three weeks before snoopy mom who needs to get a life found booze under front seat. $3,700/offer. Call meanest mom on the planet."
Hambleton has heard from people besides interested buyers since recently placing the ad in The Des Moines Register.
The 48-year-old from Fort Dodge says she has fielded more than 70 telephone calls from emergency room technicians, nurses, school counselors and even a Georgia man who wanted to congratulate her.
"The ad cost a fortune, but you know what? I'm telling people what happened here," Hambleton says. "I'm not just gonna put the car for resale when there's nothing wrong with it, except the driver made a dumb decision.
"It's overwhelming the number of calls I've gotten from people saying 'Thank you, it's nice to see a responsible parent.' So far there are no calls from anyone saying, 'You're really strict. You're real overboard, lady."'
The only critic is her son, who Hambleton says is "very, very unhappy" with the ad and claims the alcohol was left by a passenger.
Hambleton believes her son but has decided mercy isn't the best policy in this case. She says she set two rules when she bought the car at Thanksgiving: No booze, and always keep it locked.
The car has been sold, but Hambleton says she will continue the ad for another week -- just for the feedback.
I'm putting it in bits and bytes.. 2008 is a milestone year in the birthday department, and I am NOT hitting that milestone in my current physical condition.
So it technically started Monday, but actually started today. That's right.. a trip to the Gym. At least 3 times a week would be great.. but I'm a realist.. If I can get there on Tuesday and Thursday I'll be thrilled.
I might post progress, I might not. You'll have to check back.

NH, I can only hope that when you wake up in the morning you'll have recovered from the obvious blow to your collective heads.
WTF are you folks thinking anyway?! Good lord...
What They Said: the wife says Astounded on 1/9/2008 All the 50+ biddies who still have wet dreams when they hear Gloria Steinham speak about feminism are who saved Hillary's ass. She is Satan in a dress; wake up NH. The uniformed public seem to like her better when she cries; maybe Bubba should publicly screw around on her again to jet her campaign! The thought of that family in the White House again make me want to puke!
'Sometimes incompetence is useful. It helps you keep an open mind.' — Roberto Cavalli
It's the best line of the day and appears in today's Wall Street Journal front page story by Stacy Meichtry and Christina Passariello.
A Cornell University study has shown that most incompetent people do not know that they are incompetent. People who do things badly are usually supremely confident of their abilities -- more confident, in fact, than people who do things well.
One reason that the ignorant also tend to be the blissfully self-assured, the researchers believe, is that the skills required for competence often are the same skills necessary to recognize competence.
Serentiy now I swear..there is a spy inside the 4 virtual walls of this company that I work for.

Yeah.. you can buy those silly little 8oz bottles around this time of year with the big fat red guy on them. And yes.. that is a serving size.. but COME ON! 12 or 16 oz in a GREEN GLASS BOTTLE PLEASE!!

My Job involves explaining things to idiots.
Then the idiots make decisions based on misinterpreting what I said.
Then it is my job to try to fix the massive problems caused by the bad decisions.
Eventually, rumors overwhelm facts, and I give up.
The NY Times has discontinued their Times Select subscription program and made much more of their 150+ years of content available for anyone.
A couple of interesting news articles:
The first mention of the World Wide Web in the Times in February 1993. According to the article, the purpose of the web is "[to make] available physicists' research from many locations".
”And know I will show you the most excellent way. If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When I was a child I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
And now these three remain; faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
